A native of the San Francisco Bay Area I call home, I’m a photographer, freelance writer and editor, and mom with an eye for capturing the everyday moments and ordinary things that make life extraordinary. I’ve been married to my one and only for more than 20 years, and I’m an impossible romantic. Our daughter is the light of our lives and, as you may have guessed, she’s my favorite photography subject. I’m inspired by beautiful light and how it plays with objects. As a little girl I was mesmerized by watching my grandpa create masterful charcoal renderings of sun-streamed redwood groves; since I can barely sketch stick figures, I try to achieve that same radiance with my camera.
When I’m not perched behind the camera, I love nothing more than spending a cozy evening in front of the fireplace with mindless TV and a cosmo in hand (cocoa with melty marshmallows will do, too!). In my ideal world, I’d shop at Anthropologie, explore the backroads of Italy, and sip cappuccino out of porcelain cups in European cafés. In this one, I shop at Target, visit castles in Disneyland, and settle for cappuccinos in paper cups at Starbucks. And I wouldn’t change a thing!
