We don’t go the traditional birthday party route all that often, but at Christmas my friend Laura and I found these adorable pink and green candy ornaments, and a perfect-for-Emily party was born! Happy green and warm pink have been Emily’s and my favorite colors for what seems like forever, so this was the ideal party for us. Laura and I sent Emily off for a morning with Daddy, and we set ourselves up with Lemon Drops (we needed to make lemonade for the party anyhow, of course!) and proceeded to go nuts with the girly stuff and all the gorgeous vintage pink glass that Laura has been collecting. And from my brilliant sister came the PERFECT little craft idea that you can check out here, if you like.
We set up the craft area, with tons of colors to choose from, on my favorite quilt in the back yard:
(And of course, she chose pink…)
When she and her five closest friends came in, this is what they saw:
It was so much fun, and the girls are all wonderful to be around–Emily has fantastic taste in friends, I must say! (And, um, no, I didn’t make the cupcakes–LOL!)
