Today my baby becomes a teenager…

My sweet girl, who likes to think she is the littlest bit sassy (but I don’t agree! ;-)), turns 13 today. I know it sounds cliché, but it really does feel like just yesterday we were bringing our precious little baby home from the hospital. And it feels like tomorrow she will be spreading her wings and flying off to college and whatever her wonderful future holds!

This year, I let her choose her thirteen favorite images of her for her birthday post (and I imagine you might have seem a few of these already; for that I apologize in advance). I love seeing what she selected! So here she is, from then ’til now:

I feel so blessed that of all the babies in the world, we got HER. She is sweet, happy, charming, smart, and beautiful. She has brought a joy to my life that I never would have believed possible. Like when she was a newborn, I still wake up each morning excited to see her; every day with her feels like a gift. I am so very proud to be her mom! I am loving seeing the young woman she is blossoming into, and I feel so lucky that I am the mama that gets to be a part of her life… Happy birthday to my darling baby girl, and I hope this year will be your best one yet!
