I grew up primarily in a home of women: For much of my childhood, it was just my Mom, my sister, and I. So when I met my husband-to-be, I didn’t know what was realistic to expect from a father, but I certainly had built an ideal in my head as to what I wanted for my children. And Tom has by far exceeded those expectations! From the moment we found out I was pregnant, he has been a wonderful dad to our little girl. He is sweet and kind, and all kinds of fun! He is great at playing with Emily (something I have never been very good at), and he is completely full of the lame dad jokes that he is certain are funny and that make us laugh just because he’s so convinced of their humor. He happily does all the things that a lot of dads would cringe at, like changing baby diapers; adorning himself with jewels while playing Pretty Pretty Princess with a toddler; year after year designing and then carving the most spectacular Halloween pumpkins EVER; watching tons of kid (and even girly) TV and movies; making the best beef stroganoff in the world; and reading and then seeing The Hunger Games with an enthusiasm that almost rivaled hers. He never misses important events at school or in music, and he cheerfully takes us to Disneyland time after time after time.
Tom is the most wonderful father I ever could have hoped for for our daughter, and we both feel so lucky that he is OURS! We love you, Tom!

I think Tom has many things in common with Hervé, especially when it comes to playing games and cooking delicious meals, two things he does much better than me ! 😉
