I took Emily out to my favorite shooting location the other night to get some shots just for fun. She and I haven’t done a shoot for no reason in ages! It started when we found this veil that we fell in love with while we were out shopping with Tom on Father’s Day (he wanted to go to The Counter for lunch, and so I couldn’t help looking in Anthropologie and Em can never resist Jest Jewels, where we found the little veil). We curled her hair with these goofy new curlers we got that make the prettiest curls, and we headed out just in time to shoot during the Golden Hour—that glorious time in the hour or so just before the sun sets. And as luck would have it, the field we love to shoot in was full of ripe, gorgeous apricots and lush green leaves—it was a perfect evening for shooting! I got some images I just adore. It was so inspiring—I can’t wait to go back!

Last one is by far my fav with all the colors in the background and a glimpse in her future look in her eyes…with the veil I couldn’t help but think of how she would look on her wedding day! Fantastic images! You will have to divulge where this location is next time we meet up.
Ems is just stunning! I love how you included those beautiful, colorful apricots in your blog post. They go lovely together. But, as always, Em steals the show! She is growing up to be a beautiful, beautiful lady!
