This month our little circle worked on consciously “framing” our subject within our image. I thought of a few ways to interpret this, and initially was planning to do more of a “spying on her” shot where the subject was unaware of the photographer and where the viewer was essentially “peering in” on the subject in the image, like through a doorway or window. But this is one of my two favorite times of year to shoot in this particular field near my house, when the apricot trees and mustard flowers are in bloom. (My other favorite time in that field is in the summer when the trees are bursting with fruit and lush with green leaves…) So I decided to go with a more traditional portrait, using the flowering branches to frame her.
As always, please continue on to my friend Kimberly’s “Framing” portrait!
I love this project! She has the best smile. š
Those flowers are beautiful! I love how you used the branches to frame her face!!!
Wow these are amazing. What a great take on framing.
