This month’s assignment in our little group was to create a portrait with the face not in focus. In my head I saw all these dreamy, graceful images filled with lovely shape and colors with absolutely nothing in sharp focus, but I just couldn’t figure out how to bring my vision to life in photos, so this assignment is definitely going on my photography bucket list to try again!
For the last year or so, Emily has been working on learning to play acoustic guitar. And it’s a treat for me to listen, in part because she lets me help pick the songs that she is learning, which I love! She’s working too on writing her own music and lyrics, which is really fun to see. So I have been wanting to document this love of hers for a while now, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity!
As always, please continue on in our little circle to see what gorgeous softness Suzanne came up with this month!!
This is a gorgeous interpretation of the theme. I am so excited for Emily and her new talent. I love hearing an acoustic guitar too. Beautiful as always!
Wow, what a beautiful portrait of Emily! Love the colors & the moment you captured here! I am sure she will treasure this image of herself doing something she loves. <3
Beautiful as always, Jessica. I love the way you used focus vs. out of focus. Best wishes to Emily! I love the talent our little ones have!
Beautiful Jessica. I love that you captured Emily here doing something she loves.
