Project 12 Portraits | Reflections

I am so excited that our portrait circle is sticking together for another year; it has been such a wonderful group of women! And we’ve added two more this year to our little group, which will make it even more fun!

This month our theme was “Reflections.” I knew I wanted to somehow commemorate my little girl’s growing up… She’s a freshman in high school now, and though she isn’t too into looks and makeup (yet!), she is definitely experimenting in a way that is much more grown-up than when she was a little girl and doing crazy, sparkly makeovers on whomever would allow it!

I can’t believe how quickly our precious days with her are slipping through our fingers. She makes me so proud every single day: She’s kind, tender, sweet, thoughtful, smart, responsible… She keeps her feet solidly on the ground, while at the same time overcoming her fears and following her dreams. She is growing into a woman who is even better than I ever imagined my child would be. I feel blessed that she is ours, if only for a short while!
