Family Date! {Walking Across the Golden Gate Bridge}

I can’t even remember specifically when I last walked across the bridge, and it had been at least 25 years for Tom; Emily has never done it. So when she put it on her Summer Fun list, it seemed perfect! (I made myself use only the 24-70/2.8 II lens the whole time, since I had to return it the next day—not ideal for landscape where I’d prefer a wider lens, but man, do I love it! It will have to wait a long, long while though. Plus it’s a beast to carry around all day—my shoulder was sore the next day! And it looks pretty odd, that huge white lens…)

I am loving this Family Date idea, and am thinking we will make it a regular thing, with each of us taking turns deciding what we all do. I feel almost panicky, all of the sudden, realizing we only have a few more short years of Emily living here at home with us, and I want to make the most of it!
