This year I’ve joined a second blog circle with a wonderful group of women, some of whom I am lucky enough to just be meeting through this! This new circle is focused on portraits of our kids, and we will be shooting a different type of portrait each month to keep us challenged and learning, […]
I love these of your daughter. First, I love her freckles. My 6 year old gets really sad that she does not have any. Second, I love that she was doing her homework in your room by a window with good light. My kind of girl!ReplyCancel
Look at all that gorgeous window light! Em looks beautiful, as always, and I love the last one with the Lensbaby. The combination of the Lensbaby & her gaze out the window just seems so dreamy! I am so glad you are doing this project with me this year! <3ReplyCancel
Jessica, I have followed your work on Clickin Moms for a long time now! I am excited to get to know you better this year. These are gorgeous, especially #3 – very soulfoul.ReplyCancel
So excited to be doing this project together. Beautiful window light in your house! How lucky are you! Your daughter is gorgeous. I’ve never used a lens baby but I really like that last image….very cool!ReplyCancel
…and it couldn’t be more positive! It’s the first L lens I have ever owned so on that basis alone I am sure it was bound to be impressive, but the 100L is truly a spectacular lens. When I first decided to venture into L lens territory, I decided my money would be best spent […]
This is such a great review Jessica! I love the tip about turning the barrel to get faster focus as I have noticed that it takes a minute if you switch from up close to farther away quickly! Thank you for this!ReplyCancel

Beautiful images! This camera is on my to-rent list, I want to rent it before I buy it. Hoping it will be my first L lens.ReplyCancel
Superb images and a great review Jessica! I too own this lens and I am very happy with image quality and bokeh. Thank you for this sublime review.ReplyCancel
I posted an 11 from ’11 last year, and so loved the chance to review my “year in pictures,” that I decided to make it an annual tradition! And the bonus? I get to pick more and more images every year—LOL! So, here are my personal favorites from 2012, in the order in which they […]
Amy, no, Emily doesn’t have her own blog yet; for some reason the thought still makes me a bit nervous. But she “guest blogs” for me on occasion, so you’ll find her posts here!ReplyCancel
Jessica, these are beautiful! Each one is a perfect piece of art. Your style is so feminine and pretty. I adore them all! Emily’s photos are exquisite too. Love!!!!ReplyCancel
Just beautiful, Jessica! Love how you are passing along your love of photography to Emily. Her shot is great! 🙂ReplyCancel

You have done a fantastic job at picking an excellent set of pictures. Personally, I liked the fireworks, icicle, the hummingbird, and snowflakes because those are images we take for granted and rarely see in our hustle bustle world. If we took the time to stop and look at these images in the world around us, we will notice more and appreciate more of what the Earth’s wonders offer us.
I also like Em’s Disneyland picture….all the vibrant colors of the rainbow stand out…excellent!
And finally….i didn’t notice how much the eyes on Father and daughter are so similar. Priceless.ReplyCancel

Last Christmas brought with it a new tradition for our family: Holly, our Elf on the Shelf. For us, Holly is a whole-family tradition, because we take turns helping her to carry out her ideas. So far it’s just been Emily and I because Tom has been on a business trip, but we can’t wait […]
